but the lady of the house wants to be able to move the grinder across if more space next to the sink is needed
& the VBM is too heavy to shift! :

Hi Visat, Im set up in a very similar fashion to you (apart from those cups ), and having the griner on the left of the machine makes sense to me (Im r/handed)...I hold the group handle in my l/h and can thwack the mazzer with my right...to me, if the knock box was on the r/h side of the machine it woould be a perfect world. I guess each to their own

Next thing you know, the CS wallet monster may require you to build a new kitchen around your coffee gear!

        Dennis,

A person over here in Perth had their complete kitchen rebuilt to allow for the installation of their brand new Synesso Cyncra 1 group. It is the first 1 group cyncra in Australia and the first 1 group cyncra in the world with a hot water spout installed.

How is that for a wallet monster???

                  Nice new shiny Macap.

I have my Macap on the left and as Dennis says it works well.
I am able to have my ** on the right though, so "perfect world".

Aha! Finally figured out how to add images   [smiley=tongue.gif]

Heres the aftermath of the CS wallet monsters rampage.

At least I had great coffee to console myself while waiting for my wallet to recover.    [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I have both units on one of those Ikea mobile chopping blocks with wheels. This way I can wheel them out to the dining room (or anywhere else) if I have to.The size is just right as I still have about 20cm (8 inches) of space in front to measure and tamp on. And the two shelfs below are great for all my other rubbish.

It is a rather industrial setup but it works well for my small kitchen. Pardon the mess in the background.  [smiley=embarassed.gif]

A very Compak setup eran. Is it my imagination or is the Expobar leaning slightly to the right i.e. table not level?

Re: The CS wallet monster strikes again!

Id also get a cabinet-maker in to re-level your cupboards!

But youre right Dennis, the Expobar does prefer to lean to the right, as every extraction Ive tasted from it has been pretty conservative on the ol tastebuds.

                        lookin at ya askew,
                        Tony

But I like it leaning to the right. Saves me from having to change to a single spout when I do a single shot - the espresso only comes out of the right hand spout and thats where I put the cup  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Actually, the whole things level. Otherwise Mr Minore would have shaken itself off the table. Its my camera work that is slightly skewy.

And no need to call a cabinet maker - I cobbled together the kitchen by myself about eight years ago. Considering that nothing has fallen off yet (the kitchen, not me), I figure its a job well done........
