  • Whats this Bezzera worth?

    Hi,

Saw this for sale in a junk shop. The guy wants $1800 for it. I couldnt see the model number on it. It has a 15A plug and worked about 2 Years ago.

Im looking for a decent machine to cope with up to 10 milk drinks at once when groups drop in at home.

Can anyone ID the model and have any idea what its worth.
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the cylinder at the right for. Tea?

    Thanks
    Simon

In the words of the Castle, "Tell im es dreamin "

You havent seen it work and its very old and in very poor condition...

    $180 is probably more realistic....

Drop it like a hot spud....

Unless he can show you it running - I wouldnt pay more than a few hundred at most - Anything that is not running is a gamble.

        Interesting looking though.

Tell him $1800 is a great price if it was fully reconditioned and working

          KK

          Edit
I say this because it may cost more to fix :

Mokka, the thing on the right is for espresso storage...

In the 70s, busy sites used to pull a heap of shots and then let them stew in a heated storage container. I have seen some shocking Rancilio examples.

I really dont think this type of machine has any relevance whatsoever to the home user....Dont waste your time nor money with this ripooff merchant who most likely found it at the tip or on somebodies nature strip....

Gawd. I think the cups are worth more than the machine. ;D

                Re: My first computer

I note the price tag is actually $2500. From what planet is the guy selling this? Has he checked what one can buy for $2500, brand new, with warranty, and plenty of great customer service with even a lesson or two thrown in?

Is it at least as old as those floppy drives next to it????
Obviously he is from a different planet if they are for sale for any other reason than a very ugly paper weight. Looks like the monitor that came with the 2e there as well. Is it an entire Apple IIe setup? Probably asking $2K for that as well is he?
