More control over uniformity of the coating, no concerns re: overspray of nearby surfaces, many more options of the type of coating compound(s) to use... Mostly to do with durability and longevity.

Thats a few reasons CF and Im sure there are many more...

    Mal.
That was pretty much exactly what was in my head when I made the consistency comment. It does make sense when you think about the way the powder-coat surface is applied (based on Dens explanation), as compared to painting.

We know how much love we have for these machines when we start comparing methods on how the inside frames are coated lol! ;D

but the real question is, should i upgrade the temp controller? speaking to paul from expobar it may cost about $170-$200 to update it to a minore III set-up (pid plus changing the electrics so it is relay (i think))...
I reckon so - I think its a decent upgrade, and if you ever sell it you can call it a Minore II.5

            Hi Gryphon and welcome.

Worry not about the Minore III. Theyre rock solid. None of the issues experienced with the Minore II. We have sold quite a few now and no problems whatsoever....

            regards
