Whether it has a 2000W element inside or a 60 watt incandescent bulb keeping the water warm, I would gladly use it to brew my double ristrettos knowing that it wont burn em ...

    nominal 3L tank
    "Nominal".
In effect, the useable water is approx 2L.
After that the low water sensor cuts off the boiler power.

I can confirm the element on the Office Leva is 2000W - our website has now been corrected. As for the boiler size, all the information I have states 1.5 litres.

FWIW, weve put the office leva through our usual series of tests including scacing back to back shots. Whether it has a 2000W element inside or a 60 watt incandescent bulb keeping the water warm, I would gladly use it to brew my double ristrettos knowing that it wont burn em ...

So can anyone clear up the confusion ?
    http://www.talkcoffee.com.au/downloads/coffee-machines/expobar-office-eb-61-lever-flyer.pdf

The tanks in both machines are identical.
After some googling, the Expobar Australia site says 1.5 litres, and your pdf says 1.8 ?

Comparing to the Expobar Office Leva, the Cuadra has a bigger boiler, more Watts, and a larger water tank.
Erm, nope....Incorrect on all accounts. The eb-60 is 1.8L, 2000W and nominal 3L tank as well.
We dont sell the EB machines, so I resorted to one of the other sitesponsors sites (Jetblackespresso Product Description)

Configuration: Single boiler with heat exchanger
    Boiler: 1.5 litres
    Power: 1250 watts
    Dimensions: 260 mm (w) x 380 mm (h) x 460 mm (d)
    Weight: 25kg
    Water tank: 2.9 litres

So can anyone clear up the confusion ?

talk.. how much do you sell the eb-61?
I thought you were offered a 2nd hand one? FWIW, Id suggest $1.3-$1.5k for one in good nick. Call if you want pricing on a new one but there is no reason not to buy a pre-loved one. Drop me a line if you want to arrange for a once over on the machine.

To correct earlier inaccuracies, the Expobar does have a 2000W element and has for the last few years. It also benefits from a 2mm stainless cover. This means that far fewer plastics were killed in the manufacture of the machine.

Id be inclined to get a new one either way ,my 2c.

go and see the units in the flesh at Espresso Italia if you are local. They seem to have plenty of other units range wise. Having a look is a very very good idea, I bet you wont regret it. If a friendly snob in Perth has an exobar lever they might be able to give you a dem?

Unlike the sparse 2nd hand feedback on the Diamond brand version , the 1st hand feedback on the Cuadra seems to be positive.

Unless you can do some testing of the Exobar or can score a warranty best save up a little tiny bit more perhaps?

Either way I am sure it will end in some more late nights tweaking the machine ;D

I have a Leva and its been great from day one.

For what its worth, I think the guy that started Expobar was Italian and started the business in Spain for the cheaper labour costs.
