  • Minore 2 - high bar pressure

Has anyone had their expobar pushing 13 bar under extraction.
Is it easy to fix? I havnt had it serviced, bought it 2nd hand 2yrs ago.
If so, anyone around SE suburbs that can check it out?
    Thanks

    SE suburbs
Why is it that every one assumes that  SE Suburbs is so easy to find in Darwin...

An update as to your true location in ya profile might be a help..

PS. If ya gauge is correct....  Then any number of predictabilities on offer.

Have you tried reducing the pressure on the OPV? When you remove the drip tray you will see a hole in the frame. Behind the hole should be a visble screw, which is the OPV. I was told when I purchased my Minore 3 (which is set at factory at 12 bar) if you turn it counter clockwise by about 700 degrees (almost 2 complete turns) it would be reduced to about 9 bar.

As far as i understood the OPV on a minore is on the front face plate behind the drip tray, but I could be mistaken. it is simple adjustment if you know what your doing, if not take it in for service and make sure you point out this as a problem or you might just get seals replaced but they are probably due anyway if its gone 2 years or more on the originals
            hope this helps

Sits at 2bar when resting, Hits 10bar when extracting and 9 bar when i end the shot.
                  Sound ok??

                    Sits at 2bar when resting,
                    is it plumbed?
if not at rest should it not be on zero? (gauge fault?)

                      Twas thinking the same...

Have seen the odd one that will drop to Zero with a tap and or if the brew switch is run again with an open head..

Not critical, but need to remember that any values will just be an indicator and without a real gauge... All subjective.

Not plumbed...lowest it will rest at is 1...
Even when its turned off it still sits at 1
