I went and saw Roger from Supreme Roasters about 3 months ago, with my mind set on a particular machine. He patiently shared his knowledge and experience with the different machines, which steered me in a better direction and even saved me some money in the process (turns out I didnt really even know what I wanted ;D). With my heart set on buying an espresso machine that day, I left 2 hours later with a Domobar Junior.
Turning the grind on my EM0480 down to super fine, even the first buggered up extraction was WORLDS better than anything I had made at home before. Unfortunately running the Sunbeam right at its limit started to take its toll. The internals of the grinder started to shift and eventually the grind was getting too coarse. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago... I bumped into Roger at a local market, and got to talking..
Exciting times.. I got my K3 Touch home today. What a difference! Took a couple of extractions to get the grind right, and Im making some mind-blowing coffee now.
Id highly recommend anybody who wants a "pointy end" setup go talk to Roger as a matter of priority. He really knows his stuff, and is always eager to help.
The Junior + K3T is a killer combination.
Obligatory pic (the polished surface really shows those specks of dust!):
