@ 2mcm. Thanks, thats a lot of coffee machine for 1700. Not sure about buying a 5 year old machine privately though as i wouldnt really know what to look for. Any tips?
Any deal like this mentioned/endorsed by a sponsor will be a good deal! This is actually a phenomenal deal!!!! The Andrea and a K3t will see you set up to make extrodinary coffee at home, cater large parties with relative ease and promote you to instant SNOB status with many of us jealous that we didnt get in this easily, this well and this thoroughly at this price!!!!! Enjoy!
Regards,
BH

@ JetBlack. Very interesting, and thank you, glad I asked now. I guess you can ignore the email I sent you asking for a price match.
I think Ill come up and see you guys when youre open again.
New question:
After reading a bit more about the importance of grinders, and assuming I can up my total budget to $2500:
I have the Sunbeam EMO480 grinder. Is it good enough to work with machines in the 2k price range? If so, then I may still plump for the
Millenium Due. If not and I need to spend 500 bucks on a grinder then Ill have to get a machine at about 2000.
Whadya think?
Thanks again for the info, this site has already been invaluable.

So, my Sunbeam died "forcing" me to finally upgrade. I had ordered an Isomac Millenium from coffeeitalia for $1990, which seems like a great price as everywhere else sells it for nearer $2500.
Hi Al,
The price discrepancy exists because you are comparing two different versions. The version sold by CoffeeItalia is not the Australian "Due" version so does not have Aus. electrical compliance, cool touch wands, the thermostability upgrade nor the backing of the official Australian distributor. The Millennium Due has been available through sponsors now for some months:

They have the Quickmill Andreja Premium for $2500, which is a little over my budget of $2000 but the normal price is $2999, so still seems like a good deal.
So, the question is: What should I do?
Is it worth paying the extra for the Quickmill?
Or should I hang on and wait a month for the Isomac?
Or, is there anything else at the $2000 mark I should consider?
