Re: Expobar Minore 3 - low steam pressure

OK, Taken the wand off, and it seems there was a small piece of metal caught in it. I can only assume it has come from inside somehwere?

Anyway, Steam is great again - a little concerned about where it came from though, so i might drop by the local service agent.

The key issue here is not statutory warranty
Maybe so but it doesnt hurt to educate the consumer.

there must be a partial blockage somewhere
I think I and a few others assumed this.

Wear is not a warranty issue.
Agreed and neither is poor hygiene (I think I called that "user error").

      A good result.

        Hi Guys,

I have a Expobar Minore II. I was wondering if anyone could help with instructions of how to increase the steam pressure and if its safe and recommended. I like lots of steam pressure.

        Thanks. ;D

What is your location and who is your nearest sponsor ?

Any change in one part of the system will have a flow on to others.

You raise the steam production but changing the thermostat; BUT this will also cause a increase in temp transfer across to the group and thus it can get messy as to how much and how does one control it.

What is teh steam set at / running at now ?

Have you tried different steam tips ?

What does "LOTS of pressure" actually do for you OR is it a through put and you have a line up of people waiting ?

Re: Expobar Minore 3 - low steam pressure

            Thanks for the reply.

            Im in Melbourne.

Wow looks like alot to consider. Ive set the PID to 94 degrees.

The steam is set at 1.4 bar (from the pressure gauge) and goes to 1 bar when I fully open up.

Ive tried different steam tips from 2 holes to 4 holes. There is a decent amount of pressure but was just wondering if its possible to simply increase it to see what happens.

Was also wondering how accurate is the reading on the group head pressure gauge?? Would it be better to get a group head pressure gauge to accurately set it to 9 bars.

            Thanks for the advice.

I would suggest your running HOT, but then with out measuring who knows...

If it is not broken do not try to fix after reading something on the web !!!

              See your Supplier.

Any change to the system including steam will have a flow on effect and any number of things would need to be changed / re configured.

It is not as simple or straight forward as you think. If you make changes and the system is not set up for it then NO ONE can help as yours will be totally different and behave differently.

              It is not 1 + 1 = 2 and even 2 + 2 = 5 is not always good enough.
