Hi Spartan300 and welcome to coffeesnobs.

For those wondering, the new version of the PL60T now has a steam pressure gauge rather than brew pressure gauge as standard.

Re: Lelit PL60T Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

I bought this machine December 2011 I think I was one of the first from jetblackexpress. The machine is like a Ferrari it does not matter how hard I push it it keeps going even harder. The steam wand pressure is great for on demand coffees I usually make about 10 at a time for my clients it does not let me down. Charlie and the team have just installed a steam gauge so I can monitor the pressure which is great I would of like a brew pressure gauge next to it but the guys had no possible room to install it. As word gets out this machine can only get better with top quality parts inside very reasonable for the price. Thanks again jetblackexpress for your continued support with this machine.

Very much looking forward to seeing one of these things up close, in my experience Lelit machines just work damn well and its great to have another small footprint dual boiler in the mix.

Pity they could not shoehorn a little more volume in the brew boiler to aid thermostability even further, but this of course remains to be seen

Id hardly say that this new Lelit would be a threat to the Brevilles local dominance however, given that you can walk into major department stores and pick one of those up, Whereas with the Lelit, theres one outlet so far, and thats JetBlackEspresso

    Still. it IS shiny
The Lelit Dual Boiler network has already started to expand. It will be available in SE QLD through Neli Coffee and VIC wont be too far behind ...

Im going to guess that the group head is passivly heated also? (similar to the single-boiler lelits) which takes it down a notch in technical stuffs
The lower half of the lelit boiler includes the group. As the group is integrated, active heating is not required. I am therefore going to call the Lelit group a saturated group and claim that is a GS/3 killer.  ;D
The dual boiler has gone one step further too. The group collar is now an integral part of the boiler rather than a bolt on piece.

I constantly get good tasting espresso out of my Lelit without really trying. If its going to give me the same service and give me steam on demand and no more boiler priming, then wow.

But I got to say this about Lelit aesthetics though, they really look more like they belong stuck to a factory machinery than on the kitchen bench and Im not sure if that is a pro or a con

    Congratulations on importing these Charlie.

If this model is anything like the build of other Lelits, and I have no reason to believe its not, then Im confident it will not only perform well, but also address a gap in the market for discerning customers.

    Cheers

Seriously though, the PID controlled Lelits are a serious bit o kit and to have steam on demand will make this a killer little machine. Lelit build quality is very good with lots of stainless and brass and minimal use of silicon and teflon tubing.

Hmmm, My semi-man-lust for the Breville just got a competitor, This beastie looks just as shiny as the Local Lads effort if not moreso. :-/

Cost notwithstanding, Id be curious to see the internal setup, is it anything like Brevilles? or is it a straight two boiler setup with no HX. Im going to guess that the group head is passivly heated also? (similar to the single-boiler lelits) which takes it down a notch in technical stuffs

What will the rrp be?  still a 57mm group head?
Yes, the dual boiler has the same sized group head as the other models.

Hmm, yes Lelit definitely has much more street cred but at $1800 I think Breville will still lead the market saving the buyer $500. I think it would need to be around the $1500 to be a real threat.

Looks awesome....and will no doubt be bullet proof
Shows as $1800 on the JetBlack website.
A shiny alternative to the Breville with way more street cred :-*
