I am very happy with it and I think it will last me for some time before I get the urge to upgrade. Filling the reservoir is the worst thing about the Lelit however having taken a look at many of the other brands they all have a similarly poor set up. Plumbed next time will sort that out! The temperature seems quite stable but does drop 5 or 6 degrees as soon as I begin pulling a shot but I'm sure what's delivered to the basket is pretty spot on. The steam wand shoots about 2 ml of water each time it's opened however is isn't a major issue to me and was pointed out to me by Chris before I made my decision. I have placed my crockery on top of the Lelit and have found they don't warm up too much, even when the machine has been on for a couple of hours.
Because I spent many years making espresso in restaurants the learning curve all centred around setting up the grinder. Back when I was making coffee 15 years ago most cafes (in NZ) used only one bean type so the grinder was set up initially and never needed to be changed. I'm still not quite there yet but I only pulled about 4 bum shots out of the 1/2 kilo I got form Chris which ran I went through over the weekend
.Steam pressure is just right for the little 2 cup jug I have, even when just making one cup I find it very easy to make micro-foam from full cream, light and soy.
I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for an upgrade from low end unit to enter the mid range spend. The deco styling is nice as well.
