Hi CS'ers,
Purchased a Quickmill Anita from coffeeitalia a week ago and it arrived via fedex today.
Packing and everything was great, double boxed with lotsa styrofoam for padding, the box didn't look like it was left in the rain or mistreated either.
However, when I took it out from the box I realise the machine was noticeably wet with water. The resevoir was empty so I removed the stainless steel shell to check that it was at least dry inside...a finger swipe on the wiring felt damp, very similar to condensation. But the outside was way too wet to be condensation based on my judgment.
Don't have the guts to hook it up to the mains until it dries out.
Any astute CS'er able to solve the mystery? My best guesses are:
1) The guys at CI carelessly shipped the machine with water in the reservoir after testing it, causing spillage
2) Fedex left the package exposed to wet weather conditions, although the box looks to be in good nick
3) Condensation on stainless steel from it's plane trip across the globe
Any help would be appreciated!
