So I've had my new Lelit PL60 for a bit over a week and have dialed it in nicely with my Rocky grinder to get a good 25-30sec pour for my doubles. beautiful crema and wonderful taste.
The only thing I have noticed is that the OPV is always in operation pushing water back into the tank for the duration of the shot.
If I change my dose/ tamp/ grind combination to the point where the OPV is not operating, or for a tiny bit at the start of the pour, it's pumping through in 15sec and leaving terrible watery shots.
My question is, is this normal operation for OPV equipped machines, and I should just be concentrating on the pour times and what's actually in the cup.
I come from an engineering background, so I need to know how and why things are operating.
thanks in advance
