  • Upgrading from Em6910 to Expobar office Semi automatic?

    Hi All,

I'm currently using an EM6910 but been thinking of upgrading to a entry HX machine like Expobar Office SA. I have
a few concerns regarding the machine though after having done some googling, like the calibration required to get the right brewing temperature/pressue othewise
runs too hot, excessive cooling flushes, long heat up time, etc.

Would someone please advise if this is a worthwhile upgrade?

I think so schnell, they seem to be a good machine albeit a little rough around the edges compared to the Italian machines but I have read on other threads that these machines can be tuned relatively easily. Talk_Coffee a site sponsor has discussed it a few times that these can be sorted with a Scace 2. I just bought a Expobar Office Control and was concerned about the same thing..either way it will be leaps and bounds in front of your EM.

Thanks. I've picked up a near new Expobar SA today. Scace 2 is kinda out of reach for me though. :-)

Did you notice your Office Control needs any finetuning so far?

Haven't picked mine up yet but I am assuming it will be the case. Regarding the Scace most of the sponsors on here have them for tuning. I will take my machine in for a service in Melbourne not sure if the sponsors on here will look at a machine not purchased from them but if they don't I will have a go at it myself..

        Good luck with the Expobar

No problem Magyar. Rick aka Coffee Machinist can do it and we do them too.

Is there anyone in SA can do this?

I think Rick the Coffee Machinist goes over to SA regularly from VIC you might be able to contact him to fit you in a run.
