    Hi Chris

Read your thread on Ricks mods to the Achilles. Interesting and talented bloke .. Rick.

I had a stainless steel tamper from a terminated Sunbeam ..53mm I think? .. only can't find it atm. Coulda been turned down, only I'd be happy to just get a new one from Jack at Sorrentina seeing he is the PV Lusso Guy. Jack has 44.5mm with a wooden handle which would be a nicer feel than a cold metal one anyway.

It has the stainless steel base which I'd prefer to aluminium one. I'm not sure whether they have a flat or the slightly convex base which is what I have been using.
It would be good to touch base with Rick at Bayside at some stage if repairs or mods need doing in future.

Rick (Coffee Machinist) turned down a Bogav to suit my Otto. I am sure he can do it for any who want one (at a surcharge for his time).

I am happy to chat with him about this. Perhaps PV owners may like to do a group order?

Orphanespresso . com also stock them.

Pullman tampers can be custom made too, I used to have a deluxe one fitted for my Lusso baskets

What options are there for a decent Tamper for the PV Lusso?

Are there any available or do owners have them custom made?

Who does this and how much does it cost to have one made?

The basket (I hear is 45mm) so what is the correct sized tamper 44 - 44.5mm?

Is Aluminium fine or is it better to use a heavier Stainless steel Tamper?

    Cheers
