Hey all. After doing some reading on how to descale aHX machine. I thought I would tackle my giotto today
I first taken off the top cover, heat up machine to 1.3 bar. Turned it off and turned on the water tap and drain off about 1 ltr of boiler water to be fill in with descale solution.
Now, I removed the water sensor probe connection (single clip wire) thinking that this should make the pump turn on and start filling up manually.
But it doesn't start the pump at all. I have both the hot water and steam knob s in the open position.
If I reconnect the water sensor (when turned off) and start the machine again, it would start pumping water again to fill up the boiler.
Am I missing somethig if I want to overfill the boiler for descale?
Thanks
