I'm the proud new owner of a new ECM Technika IV profi and Mahlkonig Vario courtesy of Di Bartoli. Taking a while to get used to it with shots generally gushing, with the occasional fantastic shot. Clearly don't have my repeatable and consistent technique down yet as all on the same beans and grind, but only a matter of time until I have this thing mastered. Milk - same thing - first couple of attempts pretty reasonable, but now gone downhill and varying between overfrothed & burnt or insipid with no creamyness except for the occasional success.
When it all comes together, it is a massive step up from the Sunbeam EM6910 with which I could get reliable decent shots and milk.
Have ordered some scales to get an idea of how many grams I'm putting in the basket each time to try and reduce at least one variable and just need to find the time to have a decent play on the new piece of kitchen bling. Will keep you updated as I have more success!
