By looking at the sight glass verify that the water in the boiler is up to the proper range. If so then turn the power to 2.

I have purchased a coffee trailer and it has come fitted with an almost new San Remo Amalfi deluxe 2 group coffee machine.
When we first looked at the trailer the guy showed us that the machine was working but didn't go as far making a coffee.
I'll be honest, we are new to coffee machines and we have got home today and with anticipation of making our first coffee went out to fire up the machine.
I do as instructed in the manual and turn the steam knob on and turn the power to 1, the machine makes some noise for about 5 seconds (sounds like it would be a pump) and then stops, does the same again every 20 seconds or so but not showing any sign of heat or pressure. I left it on for about 10 minutes doing this.
Has anyone had any experience with these machines?
How long should it take for water to heat up and pressure to build up?
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
