Hi All,
I'm after some advice on my home Rocket Giotto + Mini Mazzer Grinder - they've just celebrated their second birthday and I'm wondering if there's anything I should be doing at this point to keep them in good working order?
Here's my general routine/usage:
– I use the machines roughly twice a day to make milk based coffee (so only 2-3 coffees per day, around 20 or so per week)
– I back flush with cleaner every two weeks
– I only put filtered water (using one of Bombora's bench top filters) through the machine (I'm in Melbourne CBD).
– I use 'grindz' burr cleaning mix through the grinder ever 6 months.
– I replace the group head seal as soon as it loses its grip in the group head (every 6 months I think?)
There's nothing inherently wrong with them at the moment, but just wondering if it's a good idea to have the burrs replaced and having someone descaling it etc? I definitely wouldn't be comfortable doing it myself, but wasn't sure if 'it isn't broke' then to leave it or not...
Cheers - any help much appreciated.
