'Labour only' ...... possibly Chris, tho' he did have a pump on the shelf which was measured for fit, so second hand too. ..??
Admittedly, I had my head in another machine and didn't pay too much attention to what was being said.

Machine modding and repair isn't my forte, so don't follow my specific advice here but perhaps just take the principle of always seeking
answers to your problems from both a linear and lateral perspective and don't take the first 'no' as defeat.

I've been wrong before....... I'll be wrong again ;-D

Labour only? Parts would have to be very much pre-loved stuff (i.e $0 value old clunker pump and motor) as Pump and motor alone can go $600 or more retail (per coffeeparts) before the use of any ancillary parts.

Vibe pump plumbed- silly IMHO. Why reduce the versatility of a perfectly good machine?

I know that Bezzera were doing 50% invoice price on trade ups. Whether they still do, I am unsure. As I recall, it was up to 5 years, so you may well be too late.

As TOK has said above, to do the job properly (if you want a rotary pump as well), you could easily say goodbye to $1k. i.e not worth it....Sorta like building a car from your dealer spare parts dept.

I have seen some absolutely butchered conversions which turned machines of reasonable worth into worthless as trades on on the 2nd hand market.

Don't waste your time or money.

    Hi GHW, welcome to CS!

Don't despair.......... you'd be amazed at what can be done by a good tech.
Changing the pump to a rotary, either internally (if there is enough room and/or cooling space between boiler and pump),
or externally (under bench), shouldn't be too difficult.

I can't speak for the specific machine but a probing question to the right person ..........

    Cheers.

    Ask questions, enjoy the ride!

Oops, looks like the plumbed in model has a different pump so I'm guesssing my answer in not possible.

Galatea Domus convert to plumb in?

    Hi All

I have an older model (2008 ) Bezzera Galatea Domus I bought from Supreme Roasters from memory?
We're building a new house and I was hoping to be able to convert this to plumbed in? is this possible?
If so, who should I get in Brisbane to do it? The importer is in Coopers Plains , could they do this for me?
    Thanks
Working...
