More importantly did your wife like it? I'm assuming your using the standard double basket. I'm using the macap m4d grinder and I love using its GOD feature. I dose by volume so the coffee just clears the screen (passes the coin or rice test) and when I weigh the coffee I get 18 to 20 gms depending on the density of the bean. That works perfectly for me. I use the standard double basket for doubles and a VST basket for singles. This way I can switch from doubles to singles without changing the grind. Great for when I'm making a cup for one. Do you make singles or have you put that in the too hard basket. Pun intended!!

'Te he' yes wife is happy. That is the main criteria. I will do the coin test, I think it will be close. I am using the double basket that came with the new Rocket, it is a great improvement on the old one. The holes look to be very accurately machined. I always extract for two. Kony has greatly improved it grind once it's cones were 'run in'. It took several years @ two cups a day . Now its grind is very even with no clumping at all . It has been modified so there is no grinds retention. I will make some micro adjustments on the Kony once I have marked the present spot. I will also check the timing of the shot. Cheers for now.

A follow up on the scratches after reading this thread http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-eq...stainless.html

I bought some liquid reflection and rubbed it in in using my thumb (can't remember who gave me that advice) and some elbow grease. Wiped it off the excess with a paper towel then buffed with a microfibre cloth and voila!! I have to have my head horizontal and in line with the sun to see them. So they are still there but now are virtually invisible. I can now sleep at night. What a great product. This would be a good once a year maintenance job to restore your giotto back to its original shiny best. Incidentally not many places stock it. I googled and found a few on line suppliers.
