Hi guys, so this just happened.

Any suggestions on what to do for repairs or replacements?

G'day Steve...

If you can find a metal fabrication shop somewhere in your neighbourhood, then they could probably spot-weld it back on for you, or TIG, depending on what sort of gear they have...
Should be a quick and inexpensive fix...

Hey Steve,

If you are anywhere around Brisbane I could probably laser weld it for you. I presume the mesh sits underneath the frame.

Sadly Dave I'm in Melbourne. Another friend of mine with the same VBM has suggested trying some JB Weld which I'll be doing tomorrow. Hopefully that will take care of what I need. If not, then I'll have to look into proper aluminium welding in my local area.

No problem Steve. Are you sure it is aluminium? I assumed it was stainless steel.

JB weld should work well, not as neat/ideal as a spot weld but you won't see it anyway.
