Thoughts on Ascaso Coffee Machines???
The Fat Cats had someone quote them for one of these Ascaso Barista Pro 2G but i just don't think it will be as good as a Rocket Espresso - Boxer: Ascaso Factory | Espresso Coffee Machine - BARISTA model
Thoughts?

Looking for a good Coffee Machine for the office
There should be heaps of options in your price range - Carimali, La Cimbali, Magister, Conti, maybe even Wega, or Unic. Have you looked at Boema? All these would do fine, you just need to hit the phone book (meaning Google of course) and shop around. Don't restrict yourself to Melbourne either as many suppliers will ship interstate I'm sure.

Yes we are definitely looking more at a double group instead of a single.
I was looking at the 2 group version of that ECM machine here ECM Elektronika Profi Due
But the boiler is only 4L whereas the Rocket Espresso Boxer is 13L. And the heating element isn't as powerful on the ECM either...
We don't need a grinder at this stage, we got a mazer super jolly a couple years ago that is working perfectly. we might need to replace burrs at some stage, but that probably won't be for a while.

It's a 2 group commercial brief- not a prosumer brief. We'd recommend that the purchaser choose a full commercial machine.Originally posted by snedden9485 View PostECM Elektronika II Profi? Awesome machine. We've sold a heap of them. It's a well configured HX (not a single boiler). It doesn't need a PID and neither does any office.Originally posted by MelbCoffeSnob View Post

What do you snobs think of this machine:
Rocket Espresso Boxer | Talk Coffee
Looks like a great machine, ticks a lot of boxes. Although missing temp control and with only a single boiler, it looks big enough to handle our office each day. might be a little too expensive, but I'll hopefully be able to squeeze a little extra cash out of the fat cats upstairs
I've heard very good things about Rocket Espresso machines so i assume the quality of this machine will be the same.

So you're saying you were quoted $6000 + GST = $6600Originally posted by Jonathon View PostMy mistake, I checked again and the price I was quoted excluded gst.
I thought it included gst and as you're buying for a business, had it included gst then it would have been less than $6k net.
That is still very cheap for a GS3. Who is quoting this price?

Dreamin' unless it's stolen or a roaster is giving one away at a loss to secure an account. Wholesale is way more than that.
Let's not get into the business of giving people unrealistic expectations.
