What do I need to do before I start using my old espresso machine again?

I have a BZ07 semi auto espresso machine at home BZ07

that I haven't used in like a year or two. (shame on me)

I would like to start using it again. What should I do to make sure it's in good shape again?

Do I need to get it professionally serviced first? Or just run some descaling water through it a few times?? or vinegar water? What do you guys think?

Was it stored with an empty boiler?

Glad to hear that you are bringing your Bezzera out of storage and back into use again.

Now, if you haven't use the machine in that length of time, you will need to descale and demineralise the boiler before using it again. A professional service will guarantee that, not only is this taken care of properly, but that the machine is 100% up and running. Nothing worse than pulling a machine out of storage and finding out that there are five problems you didn't know about.
