Ponte Vecchio Lusso - can't identify/resolve problem with constant buzzing
If anyone else has this problem and replacing the transformer doesn't fix it, try replacing the capacitors too. That fixed it for me - they were fried. Yet another reason you need to remount the Lusso's brain so it isn't sitting directly on the faceplate. I'm now using some standoffs to sit it out 10mm.
Ponte Vecchio Lusso - can't identify/resolve problem with constant buzzing
Hi all! I am having a problem with my PVL and wondered if anyone has suggestions. The symptoms are constant buzzing from the relay (I think) on the circuit board when the machine is powered on, and obviously it is not heating.
I know this sounds like the usual dead brain problem, but I've had the dead brain before and fixed it by replacing the transformer. This time around I have replaced the transformer, relay and IC on the circuit board, and checked the other components. Have also checked the element with multimeter and it appears to be ok.
Can anyone suggest the next steps to follow to identify the problem?
