3-way body disassembled and cleaned, and a new coil fixed it.... back in business. Thanks for the assistance.

Sure. The opv may be bleeding all pressure above (say) 3 bar. So no shot pours, but boiler still fills fine.
Unplug the bypass line on the opv and pull shot.
    Not really very likely though.

So without a portafilter, there is no flow out the group?
But it flows out the hx and pipes are clear. Sounds like the 3 way.

Hydrochloric is pretty harsh. Not sure why you would use that.....also the coil ciuld have been simply removed by ondoing the nut.
Yes, new valve may fix it

No water dumping into tray. 3-way removed and water flows freely our of Hx path of boiler. Pipes, jet and solenoid valve seem to be clear - but have given them all as well as the grouphead a quick sock in hydrochloric acid to be sure. I stupidly put the coil into the acid too and it turned the plastic body to jelly ... so off to coffeeparts I go. Hopefully a new coil will resolve the problem.

"Opv bypassing?" - is this still a possibility based on what I've described? How do I check this?

Is the water dumping into the tray- maybe the 3 way leaking.
3 way jammed? Pretty sure this opens to allow the water to the group.
    Opv bypassing? Pump failing?

No water at group ... Boema Classic

I was in the middle of pulling a shot and heard 'pressure relief' and the shot stopped ... pump still running, but now no flow/pressure at the group.

Now you can hear the pump, but now water from grouphead.

Pump definitely working ... refills boiler no problem.

Somethings wrong with the Hx pathway to the Group.

Happy to strip things back and investigate, but not sure where I should start? Suggestions?
Working...
