Sorry about the late reply. Yep pretty much what the others said about 30 minutes. You could probably go less but I haven't tried.

QM Rubino owner as of today, first impressions after 3 shots, brilliant machine so far, appears to be a solid build, love the aesthetics and performance so far. Shot quality is worlds apart from the Breville machine I came from, nice texture and mouth feel from the coffee now, taste has improved significantly.

Nice compact machine on the counter. Will share any tips or tricks here in future. May consider the flow control kit once the AU stockists have them in a few months time. Not alot of english content or support online for this machine but so far very happy.

Congrats !! Mine is coming up to it's first birthday... It's money well spent. Bet you're loving the steaming power. I am able to do my milk before my shot finishes

Thanks, Rubino club gathering members. Absolutely no complains so far. Bought an IMS Comp basket hoping to try soon. Steaming great, shots great, does everything I need and looks beautiful IMO.

Nice one!, so if you flush from idol heating , how many seconds do you wait to pull a shot around 93deg?

Unfortunately it's a bit of a case of it depends. How long machine has been on and/or idle ... I have probably become used to the thermometer. I would say if you recently pulled a shot don't flush because the heat exchanger will be recovering. Don't pull back to back shots quickly (say less than 3 minutes apart) because the temperature drops below 90 and has to recover.
If it has been idle for some time my suggestion would be to flush until the water stops steaming and erratically jumping. Generally around that time the thermostat light will light up.

IMS basket 16-18g is going nicely, significant improvement with the way the water moves through the basket - its better quality material and more precise laser cut holes really make the difference over the stock basket.. worth it IMO

Any recent love for the Rubino?, anyone been tweaking or experimenting?
Flow control kits are now available from Coffee A Roma and another supplier in Sydney. I have yet to pull the 'lever' on that

Flow kits are fun. Got one for my ECM Synchronika and love it. Recommended.
