  • Expobar Office Leva yep another machine :)

so after returning to the place of my birth, an likely to return again (thanks Mackerman!)
I recently aquired a new shiney the above mentioned Office Leva
it only needs a replacement gauge which the nice people at Jetblack Espresso provided
Im itching to dismantle an maybe reseal the e61 head, shouldve asked about a e61 service kit but was blown away by all the shineys at Jetblack (also picked up a new sirai pressure stat for maria there, workshop tech was very helpful)
i hat else should i be looking at on the leva?
its yet to be named an placed upon the new cart permanently

Anyone know an aussie sponsor preferred E61 service kit seller, having issues finding one? I vaguely recall someone selling one that had a pack of all the orings required?

Maybe contact any of our Site Sponsors who sell Expobar, pretty sure most of them could put a kit together for you...

                  No worries mate....
I've actually never used it but my mate who is a builder and modifier of all things mechanical and shiny, swears by it.

                  Mal.

ok so the other day when I was playing with this it heated up ok even thou its got the wring gauge, ones on the way, I managed to pull a few shots
I moved it today on the frankencart and turned it on about 2mins into heat up it trips the RCD on two sep power circuits?

do these things have a common issue? heater elements that trip out? I had something similar to this on the azkoyen years ago, just asking before I start pulling things apart again

(im sposed to be lawn mowing despite allergy to grass :P )

Could you have somehow spilt water internally out of the tank onto something inside the machine when moving it?

The lug itself looks fine. Can't see if there's a good connection between the lug and boiler. Either way unlikely to cause tripping, more likely to cause not tripping under fault conditions, so you know, bad. I find it strange it trips 2 RCDs, or is it tripping 1 RCD that feeds 2 circuits?

A good test would be to run an extension lead to the power point it used to be fed from when it heated up ok. If it trips again it's the machine, if not might be the machine and/or something in your house wiring.
