I've seen some YouTube videos of this machine making an ugly noise when the pump first comes on - apparently it was a known issue. Can anyone confirm if this is now fixed?

I think my steam temp is set to 122. Will up it to max and see how it goes.

I have found with the steam you get better results if you bleed down and then steam once the temp hits 125. Using the steam after of been sitting for half an hour tends to be not quite enough.
I find the two hole is easier to get good texture but 3 works too.
It’s probably the only thing that would be an improvement, to have the steam be more aggressive without having to bleed down. I asked Dave c whether he could enquire of cream of the 125c max is a hard limit or just software, never heard back. This machine with 2bar steam would be hard to beat.

My last 2 shots have not stuck to the shower screen. I've played around with grind settings and making sure I tamp quite firmly. Still a little confused as to why I'm seeing the coffee starting to drip at 6 seconds with 10 sec pre-infusion but it's tasting quite nice.
Also notice steam pressure dies not seem as strong as my old machine but the quality is higher. Have not tried the 3 hole tip yet.

The top left button of the OLED screen is power on off. Holding it down for a second or so turns it on and off. You can leave the manual switch in the on position all the time.
if in doubt use a finer grind if you think the puck is good.

1) no I haven't, I'll look into this check. I do use a distribution tool before tamping so I believe my prep is good and consistent.Originally posted by alexcs View Post1. I haven’t had this since I’ve owned it. Have you done the 5 cent piece check on your puck? May be overdosing.
2. Whether you see coffee or not will be entirely down to you grind and puck prep. Gsp is simply a slow ramp up of pressure it can’t understand what your puck is doing. with the right grind and good prep I generally see weeping around 10 seconds on gsp shots.
3. I grind for weight and pull shots for weight, I use the timer screen as a guide only. Generally with gsp i aim for 40 seconds extraction 20grams in 40 grams out. The time will vary depending on grind size etc. results in cup are what matter to me.
4. Hold the power button down
I have found the machine is very very good but it will reveal a poor grind/dose/puck prep very readily especially with vst basket. It took some time to get consistent results and I found weighing in and out was an important factor in achieving this. Half a gram difference for a given filter would make a difference to the extraction.
This machine in my experience likes the basket as full as possible without fouling the shower screen, before the shot. After shot imprints are fine.
I’m 9 months in on the lfpp and have no regrets, enjoy the machine it’s a beauty.
2) ok, thanks for that explanation
3) I weigh 18g of ground coffee but don't typically weigh the end result (except when changing beans)
4) how can I hold the power button down if it's already in the Off position? Please explain this one a little more.
Thanks.

Hi guys, I got my Crem One GSP today and it looks great on the kitchen bench. I have a few questions for those that are familiar with this machine.
1) is it normal to experience a stuck puck on the shower head? This has never happened before on my old machine. I grind 18g into a ridgeless VST basket.
2) the default pre infusion time is 10 seconds. Does this mean I should not see coffee flowing until 10 seconds because I'm sure I saw it well before this time.
3) should I stop the shot at around 25s as indicated on the OLED screen or add the pre infusion time (IE extra 10 seconds)?
4) when using the auto on timer, if you don't set a off time how do you manually switch it off? Do you toggle the on switch to On and then Off?
Thanks.

I mainly record profiles from successful shots rather than edit.
they are simple txt files you don’t need excel. It’s simply pressure per ml quite easy to manually do if so inclined

I'm considering purchasing the Crem One 2B R-LFPP. From reading this thread it was the first time I have heard about the VBM Vibiemme Domobar Super Digitale machine.
Any comments on the pros/cons vs the Crem One?
How are you going editing the recipe/profiles on the Crem One? Do you need excel to come up with formulas to program it correctly?

Well I ordered one today (2B R-GSP model). Will be selling my VBM Piccolo in the near future.

There are multiple icons on the screen for water levels, and these are customisable in the service menu. It will try and complete the shot before shutting off water flow. I really like the machine, the shots are excellent, and the pressure profiling is fun to play around with. Whole latte love have a good video on it as they are stocking it now. Goes into details about the boilers etc. So far no concerns about being made in China.

Another thing I have read is that there is no safety valve on the boiler. I'm no coffee machine expert but this has raised some alarm bells for me, the other slight concern for me is that I believe it is made in China. Other machines in this price range are usually either made in Italy, Spain or Germany.

Edit function does not seem to work.
As per page 17 at https://coffeesnobs.com.au/forum/equ...ne-user-manual
Any ideas?Dual option (WTN):
The machine is equipped with a water tank and a water mains connection. The water tank can be filled manually or, if the machine is plumbed to the mains, the water tank will be refilled automatically when needed without any extra requirements.
Thanks
