Hello friends,
Wondering if there's any saving my Grimac Mia. Was pulling beautiful shots for many many years, until it didn't. Discovered a leaky boiler had completely eroded the element electrical bits (sorry not sure what they're called). And she's generally looking pretty average. I'm unable to post a photo but here's a link https://photos.app.goo.gl/3RSj2AuYFMfARUhE8
Also the chassis has quite a bit of rust damage, but structurally she still holds up (local welder has offered to rebuild from stainless for $150).
It's a lovely machine, copper pipes, solid boiler, e61 group head etc, but I suspect it's finally on its last legs. If it were just a matter of a clean up, new gasket and new element maybe it would be worth doing? I don't know if it's do-able, happy for any comments or thoughts. Can anyone else find any use for old machines like this?
Thanks all.
