  • Servicing an Expobar Minore iv

    Hi
I have an Expobar Minore IV, I've been getting a bit more confident working on it myself after owning it for 7 year. Every year or so I've paid a coffee tech a few hundred dollars to service the machine. I'm just wondering what they do when they service it and if its something I could learn to do myself. any ideas? is there a service manual you can get somewhere?

    thanks
    Matt

I think there is some service hx YouTube vids that show most of it.

Descale boiler and hx. Clean and grease e61 group head, I would also flow check pump and set opv pressure. It would be nice to adding a scace temperature reading to verify temp settings.

Couple mentions of hx here, isn’t the Minore IV a dual boiler?

If you have a look the documention section in this forum you should find a parts diagram.

Also WholeLatteLove have some excellent FAQs on Expibar Brewtus troubleshooting/repair as it is called in the USA.

Correct gmeddy it is a dual boiler PID machine, you could also add checking the condition of your anti vac valve.

There are some good guides on CoffeeSnobs to checking E61 groups usually you can start by checking the condition of your mushroom valve for an indication of scale throughout the machine.
