The steam leak sounds like a worn o-rings in the steam valve, a general service should get that sorted with no problem.

As for the other leak, I'd get it looked at asap. For most leaks coming from inside the machine, there's not much you can tell without taking the case off first, but an internal leak is always something that should be looked at sooner rather than later.

    Leaking ECM Elektronika

    Hey hive

Been playing around with my ECM Elektronika that I got from a fellow CSer, and have noticed some minor issues. For reference the machine is not plumbed and uses only reservoir water. I make one coffee a morning.

    1. Leak from bottom where the plumbing pipe inserts into. Saw it happening last night as I was moving the machine from one table to the next. Filled up the reservoir tank and no issues. This morning I turned on the machine this morning via a wifi plug and came downstairs only to see more water on the bottom, not much but enough to soak a couple of paper towels. I have double checked the switch and the valve and they are both set to reservoir input not plumbing.

    2. The steam arm has a very minor leak, has spat out a couple of hot droplets from the ball joint. The previous owner has said he turned up the pressure from the steam arm, but I would have though that that should be a fairly standard mod and not cause the problem.

If anyone could give me help or advice that’d be greatly appreciated! My first upgrade since the Breville barista express and the coffee brewing has been infinitely more enjoyable, but these faults have me stressing in the night!
