Hi everyone
I am moving home to live with my parents in WA for the next 6 months and they have a Breville Oracle Touch. I had a read of the user manual and it seems like they have automated the machine so much that it may be hard to control the different brew variables for producing good espresso.
It looks like the grinder one has the option of 1 or 2 cups, which may make it hard to control the amount of coffee going into the shot. Also, it seems you have to set the shot time prior to the shot and can't stop it at your desired brew ratio.
Does anyone have any tips for using this machine to make good espresso, and essentially overriding some of it automated features?
I was thinking of bringing either my hand grinder or Niche, along with my naked portafilter, basket, tamper, etc. However, they both have downsides being I would either have to hand grind my coffee every morning or put the Niche in my suitcase for the trip from Melbourne to WA.
Cheers
Bob
