  • Rocket Appartamento worth the $ in 2021?

Looking at upgrading my Lelit PL41 sometime this year to a HX machine. After looking around at all types of machines under $3000 or close to I came to love the look and size of the Rocket Appartamento. It will fit perfectly under my cupboards but when looking at other machines for around the same price I kind of feel like it's missing some features the other machines have like PID, SS boiler.

So to my question, is the Appartamento still with the price or not?

You might also look at the Izzo Vivi via site sponsor Casa Espresso or one of their resellers. Similar footprint but better specs.

FWIW, I wouldn't get too pent up about a stainless boiler. They require far more care if you are hoping to avoid headaches.

I have looked at it but I don't want to buy a machine without seeing it in person. TBH I would rather a copper boiler which makes me like the Appartamento even more.

Yep- fair 'nuf. The Vivi is also copper boiler. Build quality and finish are on point.

I thought the Vivi was a SS Boiler. I wonder if anywhere in Adelaide sells them. Doesn't seem to be that many places in Adelaide that sell higher end machines.

That is probably because you’re not convict stock.

Try La Crema Coffee in St Marys. They are one of our resellers in Adelaide.

Vivi has a stainless steel chassis, boiler is copper. A copper boiler is probably a better option given Adelaides water

      Cheers

Thanks I will try and make it there sometime soon! Copper boiler does seem to be the go, it's a shame most of the new machines have moved to SS tho.

Nope. Oz spec is copper 1.8L boiler. Antony (Site sponsor Casa Espresso) will be able to point you in the right direction if he has an Adelaide reseller.
