The CKX has the flexibility of using either reservoir, or being plumbed-in.

Thanks Guys.

Hi Mal, yes, I did attempt to do some polishing yesterday, lots and lots of polishing... I am looking forward to getting my new longer steam wand and making some decent microfoam.

Nope, its 58mm. Its not an E61 group head but I believe that the group head is similar to that of the Silvias.

The CKX looks like great value! Also the plumbed in option is standard.
Can anyone confirm the basket size, 53mm I think??

I did! He actually drove me there to pick it up and carried it to and from the car. Such a great guy!Originally posted by E-Gene link=1215694924/0#7 date=1215886286I like. Very nice.
The San Marino must have been really heavy, hope that you had a friend to help you out when you bought it.
Thanks E-Gene!
Youre coming over for a play on the machine, Im getting a new steam wand, hopefully it makes steaming milk a lot easier. This current steam wand is too short. I get soft fluffy peaks, not exactly what I want in my latte.

Re: San Marino CKX needing help
Hi
Thanks for your replies Graham and Javanation, I have already bought the seals and the shower screen from coffeeparts and they just arrived today! Ive just finished fitting them in. The gasket was so stubborn and took me ages to get out. I did some research and found that screws did the trick. Thank god for coffee forums!
I havent made a coffee in my San Marino just yet, I thought Id leave something special for tomorrow!
Ill keep you updated!
The San Marino just dominates my bench

Re: San Marino CKX needing help
Hi eves,
as mentioned above, head over to the coffeeparts website and work your way through the exploded views of your machine. You will find all the part you will ever need. If in doubt just phone or email them for help. I too recently acquired a San Marino and coffeeparts has been awesome in supplying all the little odds and ends needed to refurbish her. I have been unable to find any documentation on my machine at all although its not really needed when you have the exploded views from coffeeparts.
I dont use milk so i havent needed to look into the steaming stem. My machine also has a 5 hole milk froth wand.
enjoy your machine...

Re: San Marino CKX needing help
hi eves
the parts you want are available from coffee parts, the group seals, shower and steam seals are the same as the san marino commercial machine
any technical info is very hard to get

San Marino CKX needing help
Hi Everyone,
Long time lurker, avid reader and first time serious poster here.
Ive recently acquired a second hand San Marino CKX and I was wondering if there was anyone who had a pdf copy of the manual they were willing to share?
Im looking at changing the shower screen and the gasket. Is there anything I should also be looking at doing for a second hand machine?
The San Marino also has a 5-hole steam tip, has anyone tried changing the steam tip to one with fewer holes? Or better yet changing the entire steam wand, I find it sits a little too close to the machine.
Thanks
