Interesting thought. Do you mean a passive shot timer or an active one (eg one that cuts off the pump after a set time)?

I am looking at making a couple more autofill controller boards, I hadn't thought of adding a shot timer but it wouldn't be hard.

Yes 100% agree, if I were ever to buy one it would only if available from an Aussie store. Its too big an investment for me to risk no warranty or support.

For taking water out of the boiler, it has a drain valve at the base of the boiler that is accessed by taking off the housing surround. Appears easy to access, though certainly not something you would want to do on a regularly basis.

I think I recall them being pushed quite heavily at one point by Whole Latte Love in the US??....... And also wondering at the time whether they were somehow almost an exclusive house brand for WLL?... A quick google shows enough other references that suggest that's not the case though.....

Never seen or heard of them in Aust though

Looks uncannily like Expobar feet and boiler positioning, the front is very similar to the Expobar Leva E61, even the position of the dials is the same.

I would suspect it is using parts from Crem / Expobar parts pool or suppliers.

I don't have any experience with them. But based on the pics it seems there is no way to take water out of the boiler, which is not ideal. It also seems that the chassis may not be strong enough to support the machine unless it has an extra set of feet in the middle ...?

Have not heard of the Elbal, nor have I seen it advertised by any Australian retailer.

My opinion is that it would be in your own interest to buy a machine stocked and serviced by an Aussie store, there are a number of highly regarded machines around your price range available.?

    Elba 3 by 969.Coffee

My Silvia is coming to the end of its service life and starting to look into its replacement. I'm planning to upgrade to a HX machine sub $3k.

While trawling the internet I have come across the Elba 3 made by 969.Coffee - Here is the machine listed on the manufactures site.

From the info I have found to date, it seems to be quite a solid, well made, well thought out small machine. Based on international pricing it would be in the region of $2700.

I've not been able to find an Australian retailer for them? Have found some New Zealand sellers, but shipping from NZ would probably add to much to cost and warranty issues.

Does anyone have experience with one or know about them?

    Cheers
Working...
