Or could it be that your safety valve is just not calibrated properly?
I believe they are meant to open up at 2-3 bar to stop the tank exploding if overheating.

    Hi there!
    so it sounds quite odd.
first can you define what you mean by “pressure valve releases steam constantly”?
Maybe if you have the machine open you could take a photo and label the valve you mean?

It may be that a little bit of scale is keeping the safety release valve stuck open, and then after a while the controller cuts out the element?

Other things that would help to diagnose is
    - what happens with the lights (element heating)
    - what is the maximum bar pressure that the boiler gets to?
    - how long have you turned it on and what happens to make you turn it off?

Ok I finally got around to having a look at the isomac. the pressurestat as per the reply was replaced and definitely no scale whatsoever. the boiler valve was replaced and the boiler anti vacuum valve replaced as there was steam coming from this particular valve. Unfortunately, no different. The tank is clean, the passages are clean, yet as the water begins to boil the vacuum valve releases steam. At about 04 bar is when the probs start. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on. thanks

Pressurestat or scale in the plumb run to the pressurestat.

    Isomac Tea Problems

My tea has had a group head rebuild with new seals etc. Tank was descaled as well. All working fine, but the problem I have is that pressure builds up and then the pressure valve releases steam constantly. (it has been replaced and same prob) I can use the steam wand and hot water spout after first start up, but when the pressure is exhausted it doesn't build up again and yet the pressure valve is releasing steam. The group head on the other hand does still release water on activation of the lever( not sure if it has enough pressure for a shot as I haven't bothered due to the other problem).
Could anyone give advise on what could be causing the problems. The machine has had up to 7 or 8 shots a day for over 10 years with only minor wear and tear issues
Working...
