Agree, there are a few things would steer me away from the Appartamento, If OP would like to save a few hundred bucks, Lelit Mara would be a good choice too.

Adding to that Casa Espresso have a special at the moment pairing the Izzo Vivi PID and Mahlkonig X54 grinder ... pretty awesome combo.

Nothing at all wrong with an Appartamento. It's a really simple machine with 99% Giotto architecture from a 2003 snapshot. They're super pretty and the great thing is that they're really simple and easy for service and to repair. Value for money is a little lower.
Rocket spend $$$$$ on marketing and as a result, their gear is somewhat more expensive. Best bang for buck in this category goes to the Izzo Vivi in my opinion. Resale goes to Rocket as they're popular and well supported.
Antony of site sponsor Casa Espresso will be more than happy to look after you. He also has ECM gear so would be well placed to talk you through some pros and cons.
If you're not located in Victoria, he'll be able you point you to your nearest local if need be.

I've had two ECM machines (Technika and Sychronika) and the quality was the best I've seen on a domestic espresso machine. Can't comment on the Rocket sorry but others will, I'm sure.

James Hoffman did a review of the best espresso machine under £1500 on YouTube.
He said the Rocket Appartamento was disappointing for it's price range.
