I just upgraded to a dual boiler from the oscar ii. I really miss the steam power of the oscar. The only thing I don't like is I think the pressurestat is really average in the oscar and the musica for that matter. You can't adjust it and it has a pretty wide heat band. My original oscar definitely had a more consistent brew temp and I didn't need as much of a cooling flush. The cheaper e61's will come with a much smaller boiler at a guess so you'll have to accept less steam and it won't be quite the work horse. Honestly though if you loved the musica you'll love the oscar

I use a Musica at work and a Lelit Mara X at home. The musica might not have the build quality of the Mara X e61 but the musica has awesome steam that the lelit doesn’t come close to in X mode, it starts good but runs out of steam towards the end.
But if you are doing mostly espresso shots then steam might not be too important to you.

Isomac / Breville / Lelit / Simonelli / ECM
Hey all,
Would appreciate some advice.
Looking for a home machine for 4-5 espresso shots per day. Maybe 1-2 lattes or caps.
I had a Simonelli Musica for a few years, was happy with it. Looking for another machine now.
Ideally I'm at the $1500-$2000 mark for new, or $1000-$1200 for used.
For that range I have seen quite a few options, including Isomac Tea Due, Breville Oracle/DB, Lelit (most of them), Simonella Oscar brand new (with OPV) and some ECM's also.
Can anyone help me rule a few of these out or narrow down?
I have two Compak grinders, so should be fine for grind quality.
Thanks!
