Support all of the above plus, how often do you thoroughly clean out your grinder?
Can get pretty nasty in there if left for too long between cleans...
Well I think....Whilst Andy and WEBN are spot on from a technical point of view.
Its pretty clear.

Are you reading enough of whats posted here.

Taste the water outputs from the machine first. Brew group and Hot water spout seperately.
Measure the temp as it falls to 55deg. Then taste. Both
Do Not put it near your lips at a higher temp. Yes I'm sure there may be a Barrister here ready to jump hey!
Report back.
PS...Whats your grinder? Why not Try a cross section of Andy's roasts.
Agree with Andy here - really hard to diagnose without a heap more info.
Also just because the office has the same setup doesn't mean it's all calibrated the same. for example if your beans are significant older as you don't use as much as the office you will need to grind way finer. Also the grinder may have been cleaned and put back together in a different orientation so your 0 point isn't the same as the office etc.
Can you describe the flavour?
Sour, bitter, oily? etc
However personally I would do this:
Do what Andy says - pull a shot and let it cool.
Get different fresh beans (not from a supermarket - a local roaster OR from an online supplier like BeanBay that can have the beans out to days after roasting so you know they are not stale)
Pull a shot with those beans to compared are you still getting the bad taste.
Investigate your machine/boiler for any signs of buildup or anything else that could give off flavours - always a good idea to taste the water out of the group head once cool for off flavours.
Failing all that take is somewhere to be looked at. 7 years without a service from a pro is a good run (unless you really know what you are doing and service it yourself)
Hard to diagnose taste remotely but worth taking coffee out of the equation for troubleshooting.
Pull a shot without coffee (let it cool) and taste... see if you find the flavours.
If you don't then look at grinder or coffee.
If you do then it might be in the water supply/boiler/shower-screen and might need a deeper clean.
After any advice or assistance on a problem I am having with my Rocket Giotto please. Cleaned regularly, about 7 years old but getting a bad taste from each extraction at present. Also seem to need have the grind on a very low setting compared to the office (identical setup and beans) Have done a full clean, swapped out beans (even tried an alternate roast) but the lingering taste seems to still be there. TIA
