Cool touch or not, there is no significant impact to condensation. There will always be a little to purge at the start. If it's still sputtering after the purge, then it's likely your water level probe is set too high. You need to open it up and adjust it. 10 min job, difficulty- easy

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll assume there’s no greater issues then. FYI my Giotto does has a cool touch wand and I recently replaced the silicone liner thinking it may have had some impact on things.

Nothing unusual with that amount of water. Remember the steam is hitting a cold steam wand so will condense back to water until wand is hot. I believe the Giotto is not a cool touch steam wand. The steam wand on the Appartamento, if it is a cool touch wand you will get less, if any condensing of the steam, thus less water.
    Cheers

Rocket Giotto steam wand too wet?

    Happy Sunday all

I've had a question on my mind for some time involving my Rocket Giotto's steam wand. It seems to let out quite a bit of water when I open the valve. I haven't had this issue on any other e61 machine I've handled or at least not nearly as bad. So, I thought I'd reach out for an opinion on this to see if it's a problem with a solution.

Note that I have recently serviced the steam wand (new silicone tubing, o-rings).

Here is a private video of my issue.

    Thanks for your time!
