You are correct, it's somewhere around 30+ years old I believe.

I've gone and taken Caffeinator advise and taken it to our local coffee machine tech to sort out the electrics. I'm fine with the whole clean and repair but electrics is a bit beyond my knowledge when it comes to rewiring so best to leave it to the pros.

So the RL-1E that is currently installed is not the original? Is it possible the pressurestat has already been rewired? How would you tell?

And that ProElind A190004275 is the appropriate model to get?

This was relevant / numerous posts some years ago.

The rewire included - (testing my memory)
OEM wiring was a single black wire to the pressurestat.
The superseded wiring used a grey and black to p/stat.

Maybe contact Espresso Company Australia - sponsor here - they're very helpful Ive found, and may have some background knowledge that might point you in the right direction

Actually, from recollection, I do think it's original. Contact your local Rocket dealer/reseller and they should be able to sort you with a board. As previously advised, some rewiring is required.

    Giotto Classic Control Board replacement

Hi all, just found this forum as I was searching for information about the replacement control board for a Giotto Classic pre 2000 machine. I suspect from the diagrams I've found online for these models that I may have a control board that is not the original and someone has replaced it with a non standard board for whatever reason (probably couldn't get stock).

The current control board is playing up and I need to replace it. The board currently is a Gicar 1-CNO-1SC 9.1.65.00v0 (image attached) which is a discontinued model so I can't get this as a replacement. I suspect it is not the correct one anyway that should be installed.

From the manuals I've been able to find (thanks in part to this forum), I've found that the Pro.Elind A190004275 is, maybe, the original control board and the correct one that should be installed in this machine.

Can anyone confirm this as It would be good to get it all back operating as it originally did.

Documentation for this I found available here at Rocket Giotto Classic, Premium, and Premium Plus Exploded views and Parts List on page 11.

Any clarification on this would be appreciated.
