I have the BZ10 and love it. Would fit in your price range. Warms up very quickly too.

You are only marginally above your $2500 price point on the Izzo and with plenty of steam pressure from the 1.8L boiler!Originally posted by whimsicalpants View PostLooks like that Izzo is beyond my price range, I'm considering just getting the current ascaso and grinning and bearing the steam pressure.
Its worth giving us a call or DM.

Second Lelit or Izzo as probably your best options. Maybe a BZ10? Are they still in that price range?

No brainer at this price point: Izzo Vivi Flat and then daylight.Originally posted by whimsicalpants View PostI've burned my way through 2 BDB and an Oscar 2 in the last 10 years. I'm now looking for something that wont spring a leak or burn out a component because of the extreme workload I punish them with (3 - 4000 flat whites a year). My first choice was the new model of the Ascaso Duo with better steam performance, however it seems that model is not destined for Australia until after Christmas... and I can't keep using the Aldi pod machine for that long! (i've considered getting one imported, but I'm concerned if there is an issue I wont easily get it fixed under warranty locally - especially as no one can tell me who the current distributor is).
What would be your recommendations for a robust and attractive machine, easily serviced in Sydney (ideally through a pick up) that's relatively energy efficient, great for milk drinks, and is ideally on the lower end of my price range.
The internal build quality is in another league. Site sponsor Casa Espresso can sort you or place you in touch with your local.
Way better than the risk of 2nd hand as you'll have warranty as well.

IMHO buy a second hand E61 heat exchanger machine with a good service history. This will put you into a machine that could last another 10/20 years properly looked after. That price is awkward for E61 machine as most heat exchangers start closer to 3k new.
Not sure of location but there are a couple of rippa deals on the For Sale section right now, there is a Fiorenzato Bricoletta advertised in Sydney and a Lelit Mara X both excellent machines,
