Or the tank microswitch is rooted!

Seems like I dodged it as I just pulled a shot and seemed like everything was as per usual.

there was a tiny bit of water at the bottom of the tank but yeah, potentially couldn’t get it with the position of the hoses so like you said the water didn’t get to the boiler for the fill event.

I’ll need to lift the water tank and see if it cuts out. It usually does, but I guess because there was a tiny bit of water in there that it didn’t activate?

Yearnar. It's timeout on fill which means the boiler didn't receive sufficient water across a fill event. It can relate to other things like poor inlet solenoid operation and inlet hoses out of water.

If it still heats, you dodged a bullet. With this machine a light tank platform should activate element cutout via the tank microswitch- so they're independent. You can test that by lifting a full tank. The machine should cut out if the tank is light (i.e near empty).

This has never happened before, I turned my machine on and after maybe just over an hour it started beeping. Probably got to it within a minute of the beeping and turned it off. I realised there wasn’t much water in the tank, so filled it up and now it seems fine.

my understanding this is to prevent water not going into the boiler which can damage the heating element. Is there a chance my machine has been damaged? If so, how can I check?

    Thanks!
