Hello All, apologies for posting this as a new topic if you have seen this posted elsewhere, I have checked the previous posts, and there is very little in the way of Grimac Mia.
I am a beginner and I have an old Grimac Mia.
Continuous flow was working about a week ago, but now it is broken. I am quite sure that it is NOT caused by a faulty touchpad or Gicar control box, but I could be wrong.
1. Now when I start the espresso machine, the star button never triggers the continuous flow, and it flashes several times in sequence (I haven't tried counting the number of light flashes, please let me know if this matters), and then it stops flashing.
2. Further, the espresso machine has a habit of self-starting and dispensing water at random into the drip tray (through the group head and backflush). I end up with a lot of water sprayed into the drip tray, especially bad when the drip tray is not even there.
All of this seems to have started happening after I descaled and re-routing wires in the machine (after it was taken out of storage).
This could be a newbie question. I am short of taking it apart, cleaning up the machine, component by component, and clearing any clogs!
