My usual method with this grinder is to measure the required quantity of beans into the hopper, and grind it all -- leaving nothing in the hopper to go stale.
This effort is being undermined though since it seems theres always a quantity (perhaps a tablespoon) of grounds left in the spout. If I tip the grinder forwards and give it a shake or a good tap on the back, I can get some or perhaps most of the grounds out; but theres still some left in there.
Does anyone have any hints on dealing with this? I was thinking of something "bent paperclip" style, but it seems like it shouldnt be happening in the first place...
