Re: Changing grind size for stepless grinder

    Hi Ali,

with my I-Mini I have marked the upper burr carrier (plastic bit) which you can see by dropping the top and the hopper off. This is done so when I do a strip and clean I can start off in the ball park for the correct adjustment. My old IC used to have a scale stuck on the hopper which was a help as well but still with both of these I found it easier to count turns in or out this made Syphon to Espresso fairly easy (18 turns BTW). Problem fixed as I now use a manual grinder for the course stuff at home and the /ascaso gets left on Syphon/Plunger at work

Espresso grind has such a small margin for error that even with a visual mark, you will still need to manually micro adjust the grinder to get it back to where you were.

I thought Moka grind was not much different to espresso?

Changing grind size for stepless grinder

As you may have read in my other thread, Im without my machine at the moment and am having to use a plunger or stove top. Both need a coarser grind so Im wondering whether there is anyway to mark on the grinder where the current grind is so I can easily get back there.

I have an ascaso i-home which is stepless.

    Thanks
Working...
