Re: Adjusting Cunill Tranquilo grind
really? you rotate the dial anti? i thought it was the other way round. the reason im confused is because the arrows both get bigger in the middle so im not sure if the direction is actually towards the F or G. thanks for your reply, ill try this arvo when i get home.

Re: Adjusting Cunill Tranquilo grind
Wrong info being supplied here .......
If you want to make grind FINER .....depress indent lever and rotate CLOCKWISE .... to your LEFT
You will notice on the rotating ring that there are reinforcing sections on the ring and each reinforced section is worth 5 clicks. What I have done is place an arrow using plastic trim tape on the reinforced section that lines up with the indent lever ..... and I call that "MY ZERO" .... I have then kept notes on my various beans as to where the arrow should sit in relation to the indent. This will span from a +2 to -3 ( the true number from machine zero would be 10 or more ).
I have also noticed CT has probably dropped a click since bedding in.
If the above sounds confusing I do a pic ... if you want ?
Cheers

Re: Adjusting Cunill Tranquilo grind
Here are my quick pics of the Tranquillo
My current grinds settings are plus 1 for espresso and minus 2 for Decaff.... all settings referenced from the indent lever..... rotate clockwise left > Finer ... right > coarser
hope that helps

Re: Adjusting Cunill Tranquilo grind
I love not being the only geek out there. Its so comforting to converse with like minded people rather than being chastised for having an obsession. I have never actually heard of a zero setting but will certainly investigate. Thanks guys for your info, especially about putting a mark on the machine, I will certainly follow that up. Thanks heaps.
