Thanks everyone, looks like the one I was looking at  finished early so didnt get it.  Someone got a bargin I think.
Ah it was the one I thought it was and as I was typing my response he/she did cancel the auction.

Still trying to convince my wife that a manual machine will be better than a super auto.  Might be a bit difficult if I have to buy new gear.
Dont discount the all in one units on the market at present (2nd hand and new).  Lelit Combi / IMAT Napoletana / Nemox and a few other names that dont come to mind are a reasonable entry point machine with the added bonus of a small kitchen footprint with built in grinder and reasonable price to boot.

It would be false economy to buy a 2nd hand super auto rather than a new semi auto.

    Hi krusty,

If it is the one I think it is then it appears to have been well maintained and at its current price of $150 is good (borderline excellent) value.  Of course it doesnt hurt to shoot a message through asking about how well maintained (or not) it is - you have about 24 hours left.   (PS: Im watching only not buying)

For reference here are the last 4 Rocky sales on CS:
    18 months old - [ $350 ]
    6/7 years old (doserless) - [ $275 ]
    2 years old (doser) [ $300 ]
unknown age / unknown doser or doserless - [ $300 ]  <-- This was a Want to Buy thread.

    Hi Krusty

maybe factor a new set of burrs into your price they are about $50

as long as it has not been mistreated it should be fine.

new they are about 450 - 500 so base your pricing on that

you can also look at past 4 sales here so you can see what they have been sold for here

    Second hand Rocky grinder

Hi, Im looking at easing into the CS arena by purchasing a 2003 model Rocky. Are there any major pitfalls with this and are spares parts readily available and easy to fit if needed? Sorry if this is a repeat, so much information to look through here.
