  • New Grinder maybe ?

Got my new Isomac tea on order already have a Mini Mazzer - but found the benefits of a dosserless grinder whilst I was having a play. Anyone convince me otherwise - I like my mazzer (hardly used too) but thinking about wastage etc where dosserless for the amount of coffees I will be doing may be the go here.

    Hi scollops....

Just my opinion of course but I believe that if you are thinking of heading in the D/less direction, then there arent too many worth while choices from the echelon of a Mazzer Mini, and heading higher...

Theres the Mazzer Mini-E of course...
    The Macap M4D...
The Mazzer Kony-E and then the sky is the limit....

Youre looking at big biccies once you step up to the Kony-E and higher of course but everything Ive researched tells me its a very worthwhile thing to do.... 8-)

I make one double shot for myself 3 times a day.

      I have a dosered Macap.
It works very well; no wastage.
I dont see the benefits of having a doserless.

Unless it is a very fast and clean unit ...

The Kony-E can dish out coffee for a double in under 5 seconds and continue to do so very accurately for successive shots. Clean-up after is also childs play 8-)

Im heading towards the D/less design because Im finding it increasingly more difficult to use the Doser dispensing lever and then the subsequent clean-up of the Doser afterwards. The hands arent what they used to be Im afraid...

I drink a similar amount and have a K3 WBC. In my opinion the dosered version has benefits over the doserless, I could easily make the same amount of mess/waste with my previous doserless grinder :-[

I echo this. My Kony e is currently set at 6.25 secs for 18g dose. But you dont buy this grinder for speed, its what it can do in the cup! And expect a fair bit of wasteage between shots forg home use somwhere in the range of 9-10gper shot. But thats the price you pay for this quality.

                Only 6-7 seconds??

Boy, thats a bit poor isnt it : :P

I remembered that you quoted that time for an E Chris, just linked it with the wrong one :-[

Hear what youre saying jb.... The Kony-E would have to come close to being the most awesome home based grinder around Id reckon. I know its no midget but the Robur is just too huge and weighs in at about the same as my DJE (wet). Doesnt seem right somehow.... :P

Isnt that an entry on another thread? You know youre a CS when your grinder is bigger than your espresso machine
