    I use a cleaning brush that is designed for baby bottles.
    Gets into all the hard to access areas.
    I do mine as part of the weekly clean. Chemical backflush of machine, washing of knockbox and grinder parts and cleanup.

    I usually wash mine out after a coffee drinking session.
    This gives it enough time to drip dry on the dish rack.

    If Im in a hurry, a long chopstick and a small dish cloth work too.

    *Be sure to remove the hopper gate to avoid accidental breakage.
    (No I havent broken one this way.)
